Robust, high-quality U.S. made magazines in blued carbon steel and stainless steel for 1911 Auto pistols chambered in a variety of calibers. Choose from round or flat steel followers, both designed to give positive last-round feeding with all bullet types, including wadcutters. Safety orange nylon follower is concave to hold an additional round. Three floorplate configurations available: Welded – Flat, steel plate permanently welded to magazine body, with screw holes to accept Metalform Bumper Pads.

SPECS: Natural-finish stainless steel (Stnls). Approximately 5" (12.7cm) long. Followers – Stainless steel, natural silver finish, round contour. Some magazines have concave safety orange nylon follower.

works as well as the stock Colt magazine

magazine has clean and accurate welds and a nice finish. The follower does not do a nose-dive when you press on the front end. Locks up nicely into the mag catch with no wobble. Feeds 165 grain truncated cone cast bullets where my Wilson mags will not. If I didn't know better I'd say it was made by Colt. It is nearly identical except for the baseplate. Great job Metalform.

Proven in three different 1911s

So far, so good. These magazines have proven reliable under hard use in a Dan Wesson and two different Kimbers.

It Works

In my Ruger 10mm 1911 this magazine has run flawlessly each time for somewhere near 60 mag loads (approximate count). Brownells' is awesome, as always, this mag from them is priced right and it works....every time.

Kimber replacement

Thought I'd try a different mag for my Kimber Eclipse,factory mag kept jamming up.Bought the Metalform all my rounds cycle thru flawlessly even my reloads,please get more in.

Great Buy

Well made, works well. Virtually indistinguishable (at least to me) from magazines supplied by Kimber for their line of full size 1911 10mm pistols. The price is right.

Didnt work for me.

I'm trying not to be to harsh on the review because I know 1911's are notoriously picky about the magazine. Everything about this magazine seems low quality though. the holes in the bottom were to far apart compared to the screw on base pad and I had to elongate the holes in the base pad to get it to fit. the follower is VERY lose in the frame I can almost flip it, the last round always nose dives and fails to go into battery.

Won't lock open on the last round.

Recently purchased a RIA Ultra 10mm, so I also purchased several mags for it to what ran best: Metalform, Wilson, Ed Brown, Chip McCormick Shooting Star. All fed the gun but the Metalform would not lock the slide when empty. All other mags including the RIA mag did. Also the Metalform bumper pads don't fit right on any of the mags (or 45 mags) because the holes are slightly off so the pad sits off center. In years past Metalform has been flawless in my 45s, but something now is off with their manufacturing-I would stay away for now. For the value and quality of construction-Ed Brown seems the best plus they come with their own bumpers.
