11 DEGREE CHAMFER CUTTER

11 DEGREE CHAMFER CUTTER Reviews & Ratings

Recommended by Ron Power. The gentler entry angle causes less bullet deformation and gives better accuracy (especially important for 'wadcutter' shooters). One size for all calibers from .38 to .45.

Great
Works great and is super easy to use. I had to find a different 0.25" rod to use it with though because the whole kit is never available.

Great tool!
I used this to recut the forcing cone on a Ruger Blackhawk. Recut the factory 5* to 11* without issue.

Works perfect
Cuts clean and smooth, very sharp. Make sure to use cutting oil and go slow

Be mindful of the cutting direction
Previous commenter likely used the wrong cutting direction, its counterclockwise when looking towards the tool, clockwise when using the rod from the muzzle end, just look at the cutting edges on the reamer. I used this tool extensively and its very effective.

Useless
Performing a barrel set-back on a S&W M67. This particular 11 cutter was brand new having never been used. Set up the cutter, lubed with Viper Venom, and no matter how much pressure applied to the heel of the cutter, it would not lift a chip. This cutter is ground improperly and is useless.

DON'T BUY THIS CUTTER
This cutter doesn't cut! I have used several brands of forcing cone cutters in the 40 years that I have been working on revolvers, this is the first cutter that I have tried that doesn't show any sign of cutting material from the forcing cone. In order to complete the job that this cutter was purchased for I had to use my old fairly well worn cutter.
