Drop-in hammer kit
This is the second Ruger 10/22 I installed the Volquartsen drop-in hammer. It provides a smooth and much lighter trigger pull weight which helps improve accuracy over the heavier factory trigger pull weight. The drop-in kit is easy if you can follow simple instructions or watch the installation video. I highly recommend this kit; the benefit far exceeds the small cost.

Inexpensive improvement
You can keep the factory springs and still get a huge improvement on the trigger from the stock configuration simple by installing the hammer.

BUY IT!
Awesom triger!!! I polished the still used factory sear with my dremel and jb bore paste. I wish all rifle trigger jobs were this cheap and easy.

drop in hammer kit
My gun would not work with the springs that came with the kit.Would not go through a complete cycle. The hammer gave me what I wanted 3lbs.

Hammer time
I got tired of the heavy trigger pull of my 10/22, so I bought the Volquartson replacement. What a difference it makes! Also, as much as I tried, I couldn't make it fire by accident, so I know that it is safe to use.

I have used this set since day 1
I am a professional gunsmith/builder of 10/22s. Have been doing this for over 50 years. I have used this parts set since it was released to the public. I probably have used 700 or more of these in my builds and trigger jobs over several decades. They are excellent in all categories of quality, fit and end results. Nuff said.

Crisp 3#, Great Value
We are just plinkers, mainly shooting silhouettes. Per a manual Timney trigger gauge, this kit took my son'Sn factory 10/22 trigger from a creepy 6.25 pounds down to a crisp 3 pounds. I just bought another for my 10/22. I would like an even lighter trigger but it's hard to beat for under $40.

Great bang for the buck
This is fairly straight forward to install and yields excellent results. There are not many items in the firearms world that yield this much of an improvement for under $50. I have them in all my 10/22 rifles.

Best Upgrade to 10/22
This drop in hammer kit is by far the best (and cheapest) upgrade you can do to your 10/22. Install was quick and easy. This kit reduced the trigger pull by at LEAST 50% and removed all trigger creep. My groupings have improved tremendously and my 10/22 is now an absolute tack driver!

Don't get extra bushings! Great Product
My 10/22 came with the hammer with integrated bushings and I saw a couple of reviews that said this kit came with extra bushings. I called Brownell's to verify and they said it did not. I ordered an extra set of stainless bushings and when it all arrived I found out that this kit does indeed come with its own set of steel bushings so there was no need for the extra set that I purchase. Overall quality of the kit is great and the trigger pull is reduced quite noticeably as well as smoothed out quite a bit. Great cheap upgrade if you're looking to gain a little accuracy.
