Excellent paint coverage
I watched many videos for my 1st painted build, but Brownells knew their stuff about the product and technique to use, and it came out great. Follow the tips, shake the hell out of it and then shake some more, I highly recommend!

Good stuff
This stuff is pretty good if you follow the instructions and do some prep work. Not quite as durable as some of the more expensive coatings, but it is relatively inexpensive and there is enough in a can to do multiple firearms. Also great for people who maybe cannot bake their parts as it can be air cured. Great product for people without an air compressor and or spray gun. Really easy to use and for the price cant be beat. Just keep the harsh chemicals away from it like acetone or brake cleaner. Used this stuff to refinish a couple firearms that were rusting and it worked like a charm.

Looks good to me… time will tell on durability
Was ocd with prep and masking. I opted to do this on a brownells g19 gen 4 slide with Magpul FDE in hopes of matching an fde rmr… i realize that no finish on a edc’d pistol is going to hold up but im ok with my guns looking used.
Prep took way longer than paint. I think I did less than 10 passes of spray and felt that may have been too much. Use acetone. Use high quality masking tape. Then use acetone again. Shake the can until you thinks its good then shake it for another 5 min. Allowed it to dry a bit (like 30min) then removed the tape before baking. Cured in a used toaster oven for 3.5 hrs but am still allowing it to cure before I lube and holster it. (I’m on day 4 and will prob give it till at least end of week.)
Overall, if you dont care about wear on your guns, are patient and have good attention to details, id recommend this. If you cant follow directions and like to rush through stuff, i wouldnt use this. Just use flat rustoleum… its way more forgiving.

Aluma Hyde ll
Paint seems to be fairly easy to apply and very durable. First time I used it I was attempting to match Magpul FDE that wasn’t so good. Paint was good but the color didn’t match. It was close but ya know what they say about close.
Alumahyde
This stuff works great and lasts long. Goes on smooth and fills in all the small cracks. I've already used the OD green and my wolf gray should be here tomorrow so I'm excited!!!
