GREAT TRIGGER!!!!!!!
Put this on a 10/22 that is about 25 years old. Fit was perfect and installed easy. Measured trigger pull at 2 lbs, a bit light for hunting, but great for target or competitive shooting. Tried it out and dropped a crow at 75yds - one shot!
Great Trigger and Affordable
I have several Marlin 60s and several Ruger 10/22s. I could shoot tighter groups with the Marlin 60s because of the better trigger. I have always wanted to upgrade my trigger, but all the good aftermarket triggers for the 10/22 cost almost as much as the gun. Ruger has solve the problem by offering this superb trigger...Now, I can shoot groups at 50 yards that I can cover with a quarter. Light trigger, crisp break, short reset.....PERFECT! Of course Brownells has the best price too!
A Clear Winner!
If you have considered really upgrading the trigger on your Ruger 10/22 or Ruger Charger, and want to do so within a reasonable expense, the Ruger BX-Trigger is a wise choice. With simple tools and a basic knowledge of your 10/22 (or Charger), it is very simple to install and satisfaction is guaranteed. I installed this unit on a Ruger Charger in under 5-minutes. I am ordering a second one for my Ruger 10/22. See my complete review of the Ruger BX-Trigger @ http://guntoters.com/blog/2015/06/06/ruger-bx-trigger-product-review/. Then, return here to order it.
OUTSTANDING Trigger
I bought this trigger when Brownel's was taking pre-delivery orders and paid $64.99 for it. Had to wait a while (6 weeks) but it was not only worth every penny it is an outstanding trigger. No slack, no over-travel, no creep. Crisp, light (3.5 lbs) and installation is a snap. I am going to put one in each 10/22 that I have. Excellent value.
A good price for a big return.
The BX Trigger Group is a great upgrade that is truly easy to install. It reduces the factory pull, has very little creep and a nice reset . The only negative aspect is that its plastic. Im sure the modern day materials have been well developed and tested but one will notice immediately when opened. Not a reason at all not to purchase though. Ive been very happy with the performance and have no regrets.
Poor quality control. Anything from 1-3/4 to 4 pounds pull.
The BX trigger received measured 2 pounds trigger pull (with a decent crisp break), measured with two calibrated gauges. Unfortunately, this is 0.5 lb below the minimum specification listed on the package - it says "Releases at 2.5 - 3.0 LBS". The package also shows a graph (force versus pull length) of the BX trigger pull with let-off at exactly 2.75 pounds. Having the actual pull be 1/2 pound less than the minimum spec shows poor Ruger quality control. In searching about this after I got my trigger, posters online on several firearms sites have reported a very wide range of trigger pulls on the BX triggers from 1-3/4 pounds to 4 pounds or more - a very wide range. So if you buy one, just be aware that you could get anything in that range, and it may be either too light or too heavy for what you want. It may be preferable to simply very LIGHTLY polish (not sand or grind!) your stock trigger hammer and sear with metal polish and put in a lighter trigger plunger spring.
Rather have original all metal trigger.
features a light, crisp 2.5-3.0 lb trigger pull The one I received had a 4 lb trigger pull! Not impressed at all! I should have wanted for a used trigger to rebuild.
