Labradar
Pro is it's lightweight as it's made of plastic/synthetic. Accurate IF you follow directions. Sight notch on top is just a notch and I had to cut a piece of aluminum tubing to SIGHT through. Others have used straws. Cons: everything is OPTIONAL! Stand $49.99, carry case $49.99, memory card has to be the correct one SDHC 32 .not to mention they ""suggest" the OPTIONAL Battery pack (not for sale here on Brownells had to buy from Midway.)with shipping etc is really $700.00 plus. Compare that to the magneto speed for $150.00 on sale as this writing.
When it works it is great
Finding out that setting this up and getting it to work is rather tricky. It doesn't like black powder cartridge rifles. Those have to be set on a pistol setting and the lab radar placed in front of the muzzle. It can be very challenging to get it to work with a muzzle brake. It also depends on how the muzzle brake is ported. Sometimes it works and the next time you use it with the same setup it does not work. The plate they sell to mount it on is too thin and the mount too flimsy. If you were shooting in the Wind and the lab radar has any movement it may not work. I get a lot of application errors. It is aggravating as the devil. I suppose over the course of time I may get all these issues resolved. The manual needs a much more robust troubleshooting section. I will say that customer support is outstanding. If you can accurately describe your problem they can tell you what the cause of it is. I believe a mount that is built a lot sturdier and protects the unit from the muzzle blast may help it but I have not got one built to prove that out. I would really like it to work as it is very easy to read from the bench and information is saved on an SD card if you choose. They do need to do some work on importing the shot strings into a spreadsheet. I did read where there is a change coming that will allow it to work with phones tablets Etc. I hope when this comes out that it also allows for easier viewing and importing of the information on the SD card. I have not experienced any difficulties with getting it aligned to the target. I have not had any problems with the unit being too fragile. I don't see where it's any more fragile than a $1,000 iPhone that if you drop it it breaks the screen. Overall I am happy with it, I do not have a chronograph that I have not have had some difficulties in getting it to be 100 percent reliable
Labradar
Garmin xero is much better. Ill be selling my labradar. The labradar is not consistent and doesnt even come with a case.
question on use
The info mentions muzzle velocity and 'out to 100 yards'. Does that mean I can ask what the velocity is at various distances on the same shot?

LabRadar reports will give you velocities at 0, 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards for each shot.
Extremely frustrating
The I have to position every rifle I have differently to get a reading. It is super sensitive to positioning. Even then, it does not always work. Has particular issues with copper bullets.
