These original Colt factory replacement Cobra Front Sights bring modern low-light sighting technology to Colt's new revolver. They are correct replacement for damaged front fiber optic or Tritium sights OR excellent upgrades if your Cobra came out of the box with a plain "iron" front sight. Only issue was finding an allen wrench small enough to loosen screw and install new sight. Xs brand claims to add that to their kit. But sight fits and works as advertised

Good Sight Once it is Mounted

I believe this sight is from Colt sold by Brownells. YouTube video of Colt sight show that they come with an extra set screw and hex wrench. Mine did not and I did not have a hex wrench small enough. I called Brownells, the tech I spoke to did not know. I had already called Colt but they were closed for the holidays. It took me almost a week to find the right size which is .050 inch.

fiber optic front sight

The original brass dot sight on m King Cobra was difficult for me to see. I bought a fiberoptic sight for my King Cobra and one for my Python and I thought they were both better visible to me at the the range the other day. Simple to install and brighter front sight picture.

TOO SHORT FOR PROPER REGULATION

These front sights are too short for proper regulation with most loads. On the new 2020+ Pythons and Anacondas, factory front sight height is 0.180. These sights (red, green, and tritium) are all 0.140 height. This means that with most loads, the rear sight will not be able to be lowered enough to match the POI with POA. Most shots will be high on the target.
