Better Than Expected
I use this on a Savage 12 F to emulate a true BR stock - 3 inches wide. I love that it rides on two rail, very slick and won't blemish the (expensive) front bag. In fact I'm going to get a couple more, even for a .22 CZ. This will facilitate not having to change bags or rests to shoot nearly any rifle in this style. Highly recommended.

It would be nice if they had a bit longer versions that was flat that could
be simply drilled for forend studs and bipod setups.
Good Product .... But ...
What the instructions don't say is that it is a press fit with the Benchrest Adapter. Just tightening the screws will leave it canted and throw off your accuracy (a lot). I used a couple of small wood blocks and a vise to press mine together. That made a world of difference in how level my rifle is now. Would have given it 5 stars except for that.
Quality is let down by fixing screws
Forend plate is good quality, just found the Hex key holes in the rail fixing screws not good. I had one Hex key difficult to insert, I thought it was in okay but as soon as I applied a small pressure - bummer it slipped out, creating a burr on the hole. Became impossible to then get the hex key in again. Definitely the rail fixing screws are too soft...! My fix was to use a Dremel to clean up the burs, then cut a flat screw driver slot into the screw top as extra insurance. The next step is to purchase some new tough screw replacements. (PS - I did heed there advice not to lock up too tight - yet in reality this rail must be very firmly fixed to avoid movement during use from recoil. Hence my concern about screw quality.)
Not quite right
Reasonably well made except:
1) The flat head screws that hold the slider to the T-slot nuts have a steeper angle than the countersink angle in the slider (which I believe is 100 degrees in order to best spread out the load of the head). This puts all the load on the smallest diameter part of the taper in the slider. The aluminum in the slider will crunch and the slider will become loose. Be prepared to separately order 10-32 socket flat head screws with a 100 degree angle.
2) The T-Slot nuts are aluminum, not steel. That is why the instructions warn about putting on too much torque. Aluminum is a very poor choice of material for a nut that goes on a steel screw and has to end up tight and stay tight through many violent recoils.
Poorly fitting part
I purchased this adapter in conjunction with part #749011468 SINCLAIR BENCHREST FOREND RAIL ADAPTER so I could use it on a few rifles that have picitinny rails mounted under the fore ends. After I received the two parts I was surprized to discover they did not fit together! After carefully measuring the two parts with Vernier calipers I discovered that one of the dimensions of the picitinny adapter was .005" undersize. After an hour of careful filing and try-fitting I managed to fit the parts together to my satisfaction, however now at some point I will have to purchase another #749011468 SINCLAIR BENCHREST FOREND RAIL ADAPTER to use on my Sako TRG 22. This certainly is not indicative of Sinclair products and I'm sure I was just unlucky with this particular purchase, however it did happen and I want to make it known that it may be an issue!?
