Nice addition to the toolbox

I actually bought this on a whim, as I'd been using thread gauges, a mic, and eyeballing screws for years. Should have sprung for it years ago. Well made, steel, with many standard and not-so options for measuring screw pitch, diameter, length, and more. Now I'll have to get the metric version.

This is a really nice product, not some import junk. This will last a lifetime, and it's a USA made product. This will definitely help me out with screws.

This Thing Works

It is amazing how such a simple product can be so useful. It is well-made, very accurate and looks as though it will be very durable. I used it to check screw sizes for a Marlin 1895G. The customer had partially stripped two screw holes while reassembling his rifle after cleaning it. I used this gauge to determine the thread pitch and screw sizes, cleaned up the stripped holes with the correct plug taps, reassembled the rifle and the customer was thrilled. Thanks, Brownells.

Must have!

This is a must have for the shop. Never again guess what size screw something is. Well made and easy to use. Use the guide hole first, and then check what size thread it has.

US thead & pitch guage

Received really fast, compliments to your crews. Guage was exactly what I was looking for, not able to find locally, only cheap plastic versions that cost way more and arent reliable. One recommendation would be for manufacturer to work on the sharp edges to smooth them down rather than just stamped out. Beats the heck out of trying to put a pitch guage on those small machine screws!
