MAGNETIC SOFT JAWS

MAGNETIC SOFT JAWS Reviews & Ratings

Soft, yet extremely rigid, polyurethane vise jaws fit comfortably in a 4' or 5' vise and are held in place by embedded magnets. Non-slip surface grips precious firearms firmly without crushing, marring, or scratching. Top “lip” fits the top of your vise jaws adding two inches to allow extra protection and more work area. Surface resists oils and wipes clean. Each set comes with a separate polyurethane cover for vise screws or anvils so you can be absolutely sure that no part of your guns or tools will come in contact with the vise. Channeled soft jaws have all the same features as the Standard version with the addition of machined vertical and horizontal channels with 5⁄8' radius for an improved grip on contoured parts such as barrels and actions. SPECS: Molded polyurethane, red. 5” (12.7cm) wide, 2-1?8' (5.5cm) high, 5?8' (1.6cm) thick.

Pleased
I am not a gunsmith. I will use these for working with small parts. I've tried these out with a few small pieces to see how they hold for cleaning or polishing. Therefore, for my limited application/s, I believe these soft jaws will serve me well. I have three other designs that I use in my garage for larger items ( that are not a delicate as gun parts ) that work very well. From my experience with those vise jaws, I am confident my perspective on these Wagner jaws is that they will work well for me.

Didn't last
Excellent idea, fair execution. Magnets hold to the vice OK, but the neoprene has cracked and separated.

Good at first…
Worked good at first. Went to use them again about 6 months later and they crumbled apart. Maybe a harder resin would work better than the rubber. Don’t recommend in their current form

These seemed to "Devolve" into pieces and crumble..

Don't waste your money
I bought four pairs for our shop...total waste of money. Buy the aluminum backed style. These jaws deserve to be in the garbage. They don't hold anything correctly. They squeeze pretty much everything they hold out or you have to adjust the piece several times. Clamp a barreled action in one? No way. They'll squirt it out. SO...that should be obvious because this same company offers a set, equally as expensive and (I own four of those also) equally worthless.
