RECOIL PAD

RECOIL PAD Reviews & Ratings

These pads don’t just slow recoil down, they actually cut the kick dramatically by absorbing it! Made from soft, springy, Sorbothane, they end next-day-hurt, tame large caliber flinch and allow recoil-sensitive shooters to shoot in comfort. Won’t ever bottom out. Grind and shape like regular pads, just don’t allow heat to build up. 200 Series Dual Action Sporting Clays pad has two layers of Sorbothane for extra protection. The first layer reacts quickly to absorb initial recoil, while the second layer dissipates the remaining energy to maximize absorption. Heel is canted approximately 45° for easy shouldering from the “low gun” position. 300 Series All Purpose has a slightly concave face designed for all shooting applications. 300 Series Dual Action All Purpose pad combines the two-layer absorption properties of the 200 Series Dual Action pads with a flat back and downward-canted ends for easy shouldering in a wide variety shooting applications. 400 Series Trap has a more pronounced concave face than 300 Series for fixed-position trapshooting. 500 Series Magnum is designed for heavy recoiling guns and has a flat face and downward canted ends for easy shouldering. All pads feature solid sides, a black base, and leather-grain textured face.

SPECS: Sorbothane® visco-elastic polymer, Black or Brown. Large - 2.03" (5.1cm) x 5.65" (14.3cm). Medium - 1.93" (4.9cm) x 5.33" (13.5cm). DA = Dual Action. Dimensions shown in chart are nominal and can vary due to ambient temperature and humidity conditions present at the time of manufacture.

A great recoil pad
My customers ask for the Kick Eze pads more than any other brand. They do reduce the 'felt recoil' and hold up quite well. They grind easily and polish to a smooth finish. It is easy to do a superior job with these.

Kick-Rez pads are best
The only recoil pads I use in my shop. Easy to grind-to-fit. Have had no customer complaints.

Perfect Thin Pad For Most Uses!
I have used these pads in the past both for target games and hunting. It is a hard to find and useful thin size, i.e. 1/2 inch so it does not change the length of pull too dramatically for me. I find the recoil absorption from this pad to be much more than I expected from such a thin pad. It is also a great pad that does not overwhelm a guns balance or appearance. In hunting applications it allows a quick gun mount but stays put once mounted when engaging targets. I can't think of any negatives to this pad except of course that it must be professionally installed like all grind-to-fit pads.

kick-eez model 501-125-l-b pad
I replaced ALL my rifle pads with this pad years ago. I tried one and had a top line gunsmith help me out on installing it, just this pad reduced my groups on my .300wm down to 3.5in to 5in at 300yrs (FACT)... I have been shooting for ( 60 ) years and I try and research everything to find, because of one rule that I believe in ( one shot one kill )......keep your power dry,

Kick-Eez Recoil Pads are Awesome
I have been using large model black Kick-Eez recoil pads on my heavier recoiling rifles for appr 10 years now and feel that they are best recoil reducing recoil pad available. Only issue is they are hard to fit/shape perfectly but due to the felt recoil reduction I can overlook a little imperfection when I have the pad finally fitted to the stock. Rifles/cartridges that I have installed these pads onto... Rubber Sticky
This will do the job it is designed to do. My only concern is the rubber is a little sticky which is good in that it will stay where you put it, but it seems to collect lint and in a dusty environment may collect dust or other foreign material. Only time will tell.

Better than a brake ...
I put this on a 330 Dakota that I recently built. At 10-15% more case capacity than a 338WinMag, I was a little concerned about the recoil, so I also added a nice brake to it. As it turns out, the recoil pad alone tames the recoil plenty and doesn't carry the cost of increased noise that comes with any brake ... suffice it to say that I'm now making a thread protector for the muzzle threads and will go with just this great recoil pad. Working it was easier than any other pad I've ever installed ... and it looks great. It is thick, so you might need to cut away some stock ... my arms are long and I think that I just made made myself the first rifle that actually fits me! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the pop-up for 5-stars said "it doesn't get any better than this" ... well there is always cheaper, so I guess NOTHING should really get an honest 5 stars!

Bad News, Good News
I purchased five of these for my hardest kicking long guns. They reduce recoil unbelievably for something so solid looking. There is one small problem if you store your guns stock down. They crunch on the heal end and cannot return to proper shape. Must store gun with barrel down to prevent this. The really good news is that Kickeez replaced them all at no charge or question. Great company!
