They Had The Primers I Wanted
Aside from their (kinda) recent change in packaging color, these are the same Winchester small pistol primers I wanted, and which were either never available or really expensive.
What else is there to say? These are the primers I prefer for a number of applications, and Brownells had them in stock and at a good price.
Winchester Small pistol primers
Brownells always comes through and products always work as described. Winchester Small Pistol (WSP) is a great standard primer for ignition of powder resulting in very consistent accuracy and velocity outcomes.
Quality Winchester primers
I have been reloading with several diferent Dillon reloading presses though mostly with the 550 series ever since the 550 first came on the market in the early eighty's I believe it was. I used most of the time Winchester primers for rifle and pistol . Never had a primer induced problem with Winchester primers feeding in the Dillon press , or for that matter with any other brand primers .
Most load data w/Winchester
For my 2 Pistol calibers, most load data available uses WSP Primers. I'd prefer to use all the components used in the load data. That creates the fewest "gotchas" when Firing my own hand loads.
30 years and over 300,000 primers used!
In all of the years that I've loaded pistol and shotgun shells using Winchester primers I've never had one fail to fire. Some shooters say that quality control went down for awhile, but I've never had any issues with them.
Winchester primers
I have been reloading for over ten years and have used Winchester primers with no problems. They work and I have had no failures. When I ordered them there was a rebate involved. I received the primers and then could not find the rebate form. I called customer services and they were very helpful. They found the rebate form and added it to the web page. I have always had good service from Brownells and will order from them in the future.
Great primers, good price
I have used these primers ONLY since 1982. And I reload about 12K to 15K per year in .44 Spec, .44 Mag, .45 ACP, .45 Colt. I have never had a primer fail to go off. their QC is excellent.
My Second Favorite Primer
I still prefer the plating on the CCI's for smoothness of operation, but the Winchester's come in a close second.

i have had very good luck with these primers. i believe i may have had 3 failures in 2500 rounds. when you do a lot of shooting that means a great deal to your mental attitude.
