Excellent
This has the relief cut, no need to remove the ejector.
Worked as excpected
Worked as I expected a headspace gauge should. Used it to check the headspace on a new build. Removed the extractor and ejector prior to testing and it all checked out. Good to proceed with the build.
As expected, right on the money
Sized perfectly. In the process of converting an old SMLE Mk.1 no.4 over to an integrally suppressed Delisle and naturally, needed a 45acp go gauge to headspace the new barrel. This was the least expensive option I could find, but I've used Clymer gauges in the past and knew they were good quality so I had no reservations about getting it.
6mm BR Go Gauge by CLYMER
Right tool for the job, also bought a No Go Gage. Gage proved to the customer that the internet experts were wrong concerning his rifle. His primer piercing problem was directly caused by the Savage fireing pin protrusion was excessive (.055) i.e. improperly adjusted at the factory. When I disassembled the bolt and readjusted the FP to .030 protrusion primer piercing ceased.
Works as advertised
It works great
Works great
I used this for my Ar10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. It worked just as it should. The bolt closed on the go gauge, and would not close on the no go gauge. Both Clymer brand. They are nicely machined, with a good finish.
Works great!
I bought another brand of go and no go headspace gauges for my new 300 blackout build. I could not get the bolt to close on the go gauge. I tried 3 different bolts, and none would close. It was a really nice barrel, so I was a bit frustrated. I sent the barrel back, and they shipped me a new one. I tried it again, and again, the bolt would not close. Suspecting that I had a bad go gauge, i ordered this clymer go gauge to see if I could get it to work. Sure enough, it closed! The other gauge was bad, but this one worked perfectly. I recommend it.
No Problems
works as advertized.
Safety First
I purchase this Gauge after trying to locate a gunsmith near where I lived and worked to check the head space on my AR build. It was cheaper than a 2-3 hour drive and it work as it was designed.
Great tool for checking headspace
I am new into building AR-15's. They are very easy to build and are like adult Lego's for me. It was suggested that I have an extra bolt carrier as a spare if you shoot a lot. So I assembled my bolt carrier with the Adam Arms Piston Bolt carrier and I used the BCM Bolt. To be safe and be certain there would be no bolt/bolt carrier failure, I wanted to make sure my head space was correct. I bought the Brownells Bolt Extractor tool (read review) and used the Go/No-Go units. They worked flawlessly. It took less than 30 seconds for each procedure. I know I can use the spare with no issues and not have to worry about head space. This is a must tool for peace of mind!
