A.R.M.S.® 17S BIPODS

A.R.M.S.® 17S BIPODS Reviews & Ratings

The Magpul Bipod for A.R.M.S.® 17S Style mounts offers serious strength and versatility at a price that provides unmatched value. Magpul’s lightweight Mil-Spec hard anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum and injection-molded polymer bipod brings innovation in ergonomics, functionality, strength and value together. Its low-profile design conceals its internal mechanisms and hardware, smoothly brushing off snags and bumps. Optimized for rapid one-handed adjustments, the bipod quickly and quietly transitions between user configurations.

In the shooting position, it is easily loaded with stabilizing forward tension without fear of failure or warping. Its aluminum and stainless steel components, along with its injection-molded reinforced polymer, ensure years of dependable performance and reliability, all while shaving weight. It's extremely light weight, at just over 11 oz.

Leg extensions slide and lock securely with the push of a button on any of the seven half-inch spaced locking detents. The legs extend 3.5 inches, from 6.8” to 10.3”. An industry-exclusive 50° of total tilt and 40° of total pan are controlled by a glove-friendly knurled tool-less bipod locking knob located between the extended legs. It also has the exclusive ability to lock pan at 0° while maintaining full tilt functionality. Folded, the streamlined housing and legs fit neatly under the barrel and are just under 2.3” deep and 3.3” wide. Anodized surfaces and tight, precision tolerances mitigate squeaks and rattles.

A soft rubber bipod locking knob cap is attached to the locking knob gives users a steady, non-marring forward rest while the bipod is folded. Additionally, its staggered soft rubber feet hold fast on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. Should users choose to change feet, the Magpul Bipod’s legs accept most Atlas pattern bipod replaceable feet, except for the Atlas 5-H style.

Sharp and Lightweight
Nice lightweight addition for my 300 HAMR. Maybe a little on the too light side for my 24" heavy barreled AR10. No regrets.

AWESOME!
As a gunsmith, I see a bunch of different brands, and I can say that this is one of the best bipods on the market for the money! No bipod is rock solid and is NOT supposed to be like people think that they are. This is well made and worth every penny. Brownells has the lowest price out there.
5
Solid Bipod
Excellent bipod suited to most rifles. Fitted mine with the Midwest Industries 170-S quick detach mount (MI-QD170S), so as to move it between a few rifles. I appreciate that it pans and tilts, and that it is able to "lock out" the pan function if desired.

Works perfect on my AR-10
Fully adjustable, stable platform on a variety of surfaces. Solid construction and easy to use.

Paired with a Hunter X22 and..
..A custom build, this works beyond what I had hoped! My daughter and I tried this setup for the first time and were really happy with the result. We used bulk ammo, Federal BYOB 36 grain, Standing, bent over with the bipod on a narrow bench. I'm sure, freehand wouldn't be as accurate. The second picture is the target with the first rounds through the rifle.

Magpul does it again
This is a well thought out functional bipod. Solid construction yet light weight. Positive fit with MLok. Have it on my Springfield .308 Saint Victor and have been shooting off a bench at 100 and 200 yards. This bipod provides a lot of adjustment options and is a rock solid base. This is now my go too tactical rifle setup.

Great product
Great quality, appearance, and easy to install/use. Much lighter and quieter to deploy than other brands. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it IMO.

BI pod
Haven't got to use this on the range yet as barrel isn't mounted yet, but bi pod is mounted to chassis system. As far as mounting... easy and very solid. Fuction.... extending and folding is firm and solid. Seems to hold up well to pushing to load the bi pod and seat the stock in your shoulder. I have had round tubes bend under pressure, but these look to be able to handle more pressure and not bend.

sure works
I built an AR 10 mostly Aero Precision parts and ran across this on Brownells site and decided give it a go . It worked perfectly with my M Lok fore end I have only fired 40 rounds so far but at my age this Magpul bipod helps greatly ,and it was on sale !

Excellent bipod
Outstanding bipod for my SCAR 17 Heavy. Multiple adjustments, strong, able to accommodate the recoil of larger caliber without being too light. May be a little heavy for 5.56 AR-type weapons but thats the only disadvantage I can imagine. An excellent product from MagPul and Brownells.
