This is a bench mounted priming tool with a fairly good feel and automated primer dropping tubes. Uses standard RCBS press type shellholders. Comes with large and small primer feed tubes and primer rod assemblies for large and small primers. Cases can be primed with this tool without touching the primers with your fingers at all.

Why did I wait so long to get one

Simple and easy to use but still allows feedback while seating the primer. I have primed over 200 pieces of brass at a time and didn't have hand cramps. Nice

I've used many priming tools from press mounted to the popular hand held and there's nothing on the market that I'm aware of that comes close to the RCBS Auto Priming Tool. This tool has been part of my reloading collection for well over 15 years and for a non-progressive session of cartridge reloading this is the only way I insert primers. The RCBS Auto Priming Tool is easy to set up and even easier to use. Fill the primer feed tube then insert it into the feed tube hole and you're off and running.or should I say priming! The camming action rotates the tube forward placing a fresh primer in the primer cup, then with moderate downward pressure on the priming handle the primer can be felt sliding into the primer pocket and bottoming out.. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Highly Recommended

I received this as a gift and I'm glad for it-- I would have never paid this much money for a priming tool, but it is easily one of my favorite reloading tools. This makes priming fast, easy, and I believe a lot safer than using a handheld priming tool. If it ever wears out (and I don't think it will!), I'll invest in another.

25,000 rounds plus, fast and accurate

I have reloaded for over 63 years. When this came out I purchased it,,and used it on many calibers,,,I have found it to be very fast, very accurate, and extremely durable. No parts have been replaced in all these many many years. I am action shooting three weekends a month,,,, and would hate to go back to the old way. This tool adds speed to a single stage press user. Better than the RCBS hand priming tool

RCBS priming tools seem destined to give me fits. The hand primer I used briefly put most of the primers in sideways or flipped completely. This automatic priming tool is much smoother and you can see what's happening before you commit the brass. Loading the primer tubes is sort of fun but RCBS needs to include a simple tool to press the last one in past the plastic feed lips. The method of delivery is unique but not foolproof. At least a third of the primers deposited by the feed tube were also pulled back out of the cup as the tube swung back leaving me to chase them down. Many went between the priming arm and frame and one even dropped into the vertical hole beside the ram. I was able to recover each one that went awol and use them, but there must be something to make it more reliable. Again, it's better than the hand primer but not perfect. You can feel the primer bottom out in the pocket. It could be perfect if it would stop plucking primers back out of the cup on the return stroke...
