As good as it gets.
Its just excellent. Thats all there is to it.
Hi Quality Cases
I purchased several hundred of them and they have all shown excellent consistency. I checked neck concentricity - consistently under plus or minus .001. I checked the web diameter to see if there were any signs of pressure with a blade micrometer to .0001, the unfired cases were remarkably consistent, varying by a few ten thousandths. I checked bullet concentricity on loaded rounds with the same result as the neck concentricity, typically under plus or minus .001. On the range the cartridges are getting the job done, average 5 shots groups are under a half inch at 100 yards. I realize theres a lot more that just the cases, but they are definitely not a source of inaccuracy.
Stuff box package
Ordered 100 of the 6.5 brass thinking it would show up in two boxes. Instead it came in one box of 50 with 50 more piled on top. Haven't done any reloading at this time to rate them.
No Comparison
You will never load Hornady brass again. This is the best I have ever seen. It loads consistently and produced results at the range. I was concerned about the small primer but after changing, I prefer it. I have loaded many different primers from regular to BR to magnums and the standard small primer works great for me. Change now, you'll be glad you did.
Switched from Hornady to Lapua....
I couldn't get consistent speeds with Hornady brass. I had SD's of 10-12 with every load I tried. Then I switched to Lapua and it took me 1 trip to get an SD of 2. I am on my third reload, and plan to get many more with annealing.
Finally Low ES and SDs!
Hornady brass sucks... there I said it. I mean really hornady 6.5 supposed "match" brass sucks! No need to go 6.5x47 now, the small rifle primer is incredible. I have low single digit SDs and mid to high single digit ES over 5 round strings. The .1-.2 FIVE round groups @ 100 yd speak for themselves. One note, I would ANNEAL this virgin brass, use an expander mandrel that brownells sells, and brush the inside of the neck before firing. Seating was a little inconsistent off by 0.002-3 which could be the bullets themselves but I doubt berger 140 hybrids are that inconsistent. I load 42 gr H4350 FG210M primers, berger 140 hybrids 0.015" off the lands. 0.005-0.020 all shoot very well. Do yourself a favor and just buy this brass!
Very consistent brass
Working up accuracy loads with different powders for my rifle. Last lot of Lapua brass had a max case weight spread of 0.9 grains. 87% where within a 0.5 grain distribution. Ran all through a full length resize before loading. Found 5% of the brass was slightly out from the box. You may want to consider magnum primers due to the small primer holes.
Get what you pay for
Hands down the best brass manufacture and most consistent brass on the market. Yes, it is expensive but 20+ reloads is not out of the question with this brass. Extremely consistent in weight and dimensions. Small primer pockets are definitely an advantage over the large rifle primer pockets too with more consistent ignitions and the primer pockets won't loosen over time either. Don't buy any of this brass as I want it all to myself LOL
Still good brass
Overall still good brass, however case neck thickness varies a bit on this batch
Cardboard Box
The brass is fine but the packing sucks. No more blue plastic boxes. Just cardboard trays that the brass sits in.
