1911 FLAT TRIGGER

1911 FLAT TRIGGER Reviews & Ratings

Lightweight, aluminum trigger shoe features a flat, serrated face for uniform length-of-pull regardless of index finger placement. Full width, stainless steel bow eliminates flex and is permanently staked to the shoe for added strength, making this trigger a top choice for duty and self defense guns. Stainless steel overtravel stop screw is mounted in the rear of the shoe and requires no staking or threadlocker to keep it in place – once it’s set, it won’t shoot loose. SPECS: Bow - Stainless steel, polished finish. Shoe - Aluminum, silver, anodized finish. 2.2” (5.6cm) OAL. .3 oz. (8.6g) wt.

Excellent part
I thought these were quite ugly...until I used one. Now it is a thing of beauty! No matter where your finger falls on the trigger it feels exactly the same. It is not at all uncomfortable like I imagined it might be. The quality of the 10-8 trigger is top notch. The set screw cannot back out so once it is set you can forget about it. Excellent part. If you have never tried a flat trigger I encourage you to give it a shot.

Interesting trigger, mixed thoughts.
This trigger required quite a lot of fitting. The shoe was very easy to fit, but the bow is oversized. It extends into the back of the frame a bit longer than it should, eliminating needed pretravel. A stoning of the sear legs where they contact the disconnector will give you the correct amount of pretravel. The fixed overtravel stop is a nice feature as well. The look and feel is rather unconventional, but they are certainly worth a try.

Not Bad
This trigger is super light, but has a bit of horizontal/vertical movement when installed. I put it in a Para GI expert, and it required no fitting. it just dropped in, with room to spare. Functional for carry but don't use for a competion gun.

Great design...Execution OK
This part is designed extremely well and has more trick custom details than any other trigger right out of the box (relief cuts on pad and bow, rock-solid shoe attachment, secure blind overtravel). Unfortunately, due to apparent variance in manufacturing tolerances (bow dimensions), this part required quite a bit of fitting in order to get satisfactory function in a Colt frame (which I arrogantly feel should be the blueprint for all 1911 parts).

Trigger bow WAY too long - Unusable
