solid fixture, very strong
target mainly and some varmint. I've been attemping much longer shots since scoping the mini-14 and am very impressed with the rigid construction of these mounts. It eliminated all of need to resight afetr 100 rounds or so. My rifle didn't come with the factory mounts these are definately a very sturdy and economical choice if your'e not ready to pay up for leupold or factory mounts. The medium rings give you just enough room to remove the bolt, it may seem at first that the scope will have to come off , but with a little patience especially on a new gun it will clear diassemly and reassembly.
