Fit and Finished
The only reason I am really giving it 4 starts is due to the packaging, and the poor packaging could be the result of Brownells. When I opened the packaged, it appeared as if it had been opened. In fact, the Allen key provided had fallen out of the package upon taking it out of the shipping wrapper, and I didn't know it until I happened to look on the floor and noticed it sitting there. Anyway, as you can see in the photos, the mount is gorgeous. The edges are finished nicely, and the finish perfectly matches my Aero Precision upper and lower (the lower which I also purchased from Brownells). The picture of the mount makes it look sort of like it has a gold sheen, but it's as flat as it needs to be. As you can also see in the photo, when mounted above the Magpul MBUS, there is litterally only a bout 1mm of clearance, which only exists because the MBUS is under spring tension. Without that spring tension, the Swampfox Arrowhead 1-6 VLPO would not have fit, and I'd need a riser rail. I still may get a riser rail to bring the optic up about 20 MOA. And that leads me to the next point. The quick release is easy to disengage. The barrel nuts feature a ratcheting mechanism which helps the quick-detach system lock into place, and the rail mount fits so well, I'd have to believe that it'd after detaching and and replacing the mount, your zero would be maintained (provided the optic itself was moved in the seats of the mount). I have not tested this, but it mounts extremely securely. Not sure what else I can say about it...it looks phenomenal, if that counts for anything. Honestly, not sure when fashion became a factor judging firearms, but I guess when something performs well, it'll probably look nice too, and this certainly helps to make a mark in the target (no pun intended).
