EGW RUGER® M-77® LONG ACTION SCOPE BASES

This is a custom solution for Newer Model Ruger M77 owners who need a true Picatinny mounting platform. Because the factory Ruger M77 utilizes proprietary integral scope bases, mounting a standard Picatinny rail requires modification. This rail is designed to be permanently mounted to the receiver via drilling and tapping.

This is the ideal upgrade for gunsmiths custom-building a rifle on a modern M77 action who want to convert to a universal 1913 Picatinny standard.

EGW Makes great bases
Why Ruger uses proprietary rings and doesn't drill and tap the M77 receiver is a "Well that's Ruger" However the EGW full length picatinny base is a great solution for mounting other optic choices without the need for Ruger rings. The base does require you to drill and tap 4 8-40 holes, a nice thing about this EGW base is that they have created a slight channel for the base to sit in and align with the integral Ruger action base. I use EGW base rails for a lot of my clients and they are always spot on.

Caution ordering
Ordered this on a rush. It said "In stock" when ordered, even paid extra for 2 day shipping. 2 days later, got an email saying 5-8 weeks special order. It took 3 phone calls and two supervisors to get it cancelled. Also, it does require drilling and tapping the action.
