What is the EGW - CZ 457 11MM HD PICATINNY SCOPE MOUNT?

Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. EGW one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. This mount is a Picatinny-style base and compatible with Picatinny or Weaver scope rings. EGW machines these in their shop using one of their machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type III anodized for long lasting durability. Recommend:

  • 0 MOA -if shooting 0-500 yards
  • 20 MOA -if shooting 500-1000 yards

When zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, EGW recommends zeroing at 200 yards. Installation: EGW recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is sold separately). The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.

I will begin my review by simply saying that I am extremely content with this EGW Zero MOA Scope rail. I really like how low & straight I'm able to place my Arken EPL-4 6-24X50 Scope to my CZ 457 .22 WMR Varmint Rifle. Everything is seamless & work well together. A total A++++ for this project I've been working on. This review was written Nov. (2024). You get what you pay for so don't by garbage & expect things to come out good, spend your hard earned money on high quality & you won't regret it.

Good solid package
I put it on my CZ457 so I could mount a scope with a 34MM. tube. I couldn't find scope mounts for that dia. tube in 11mm. dovetail. This changed it to picatinny so it was easy to find scope mounts for this Diameter scope. The 20 moa built in will help in getting way out there on the elevation dial so shots over two hundred yards won't be a problem. The four clamping screws spread out the clamping force the entire length of the dovetail so there will be plenty of leverage to keeping from moving. The only complaint I have with it is, when it is tight it is not level with the receiver. That would have been nice to level the receiver: then the base, then the rings, then the scope it's self. Give a feeling that nothing can go wrong in the process.
