What is the SONS OF LIBERTY GUN WORKS - AR-15 Garand Thumb Task Force 69 14.5" Mid-Length Rifle?

Chambered in 5.56 this rifle has a 14.5” barrel with a smooth shooting Mid-Length gas system, a 1:7 twist rate, and on the muzzle a Surefire a SF3P flash hider that is pinned and welded in place to give you a non-NFA overall barrel length.

Outside the barrel is a 13.75” M89 Drive Lock Rail which is known for its mounting system.

Moving back, you’ll find the SOLGW upper and lower receivers which are known for their tight tolerances and high-quality finish. The lower receiver features the SOLGW Scalper logo, and unique to this gun only, the Task Force 69 logo on the magwell, which alone is almost enough to justify your purchase.

The lower receiver includes a Geissele SSA-E trigger which is a 2-stage, with 4.5lb pull weight, and is well known and loved by serious shooters everywhere.

Additionally, the Garand Thumb Rifle has the SOLGW ambidextrous Quick safety selector installed.

For a grip a BCM MOD 0 was selected, and at the rear a BCM MOD 0 buttstock is the choice to go on the SOLGW A5 buffer system.

Finally, the whole rifle receives a very durable Armor Black Cerakote finish.

Each Garand Thumb 14.5” Mid-Length Rifle includes 3 standard capacity 30rd magazines, and a soft case.

Best rifle for the money
If there is one word i can use to describe this rifle it would be "perfect". This rifle is a true general purpose rifle it is weighted perfectly, it is extremely accurate, runs smooth, has nice and tight tolerances, the rifle is perfectly gassed and the A5 buffer system makes it super soft to shoot and allows for faster follow up shots. You will not be disappointed in purchasing this rifle and because of this rifle i am a SOLGW fanatic.

A great general purpose quality rifle
Full disclaimer, this is my first "high end" rifle and do not have anything to compare it to as far as other high end companies go (bcm, dd, ka, etc). I recently saved up enough to be able to purchase/build my first high end AR. I started pricing it out from the muzzle device to the stock the way i wanted it and came up somewhere around 1700/1800 bucks. Also should note I had a surefire rc2 on the way but didnt want to buy or build anything until i got the approval. Somehow stumbled upon this rifle with solgw and garandthumb talking about it on YouTube and then the brownells breakdown of the video. This rifle is built to spec exactly the way i would have built mine. I dont mind paying the extra 200 to 300 it was to just buy it outright. I trust a company like solgw to put it together better than i ever could. Not to mention i would have had to purchase a quality torque wrench and other tools to get the job done. Got the rifle and as expected its top notch. It feels good. Its light. The m89 handguard is the best ive had my hands on. The castle nut staking is clean and secure. Solgw takes care of their stuff from a qc standpoint. The extra magazines even feel like they have a quality coating/finish on them. Plenty of swag. The can goes on nice and secure. A really nice setup. Id trust this rifle with my life. And solgw is a company you can trust from everything ive seen and heard.
