A Great Decades Proven Combat-Duty Pistol
I've owned my SIG Sauer P226 MK25 since 2012. In late 2015, I installed the SS OEM stock Short Reset Trigger (SRT) Kit in it. Its original OEM stock polymer "P226" grip panels didn't offer my very sweaty hands enough friction, so I swapped them out for some rough textured G-10 grips. Likewise, the grip front strap has only horizontal groves, not the more desirable checkering, so I applied some black heavy-duty anti-slip grip-tape (for outdoor stairs), versus a set of Talon Grips, as two sets of Talon Grips lasted me only a couple of short months each. The anti-slip grip-tape has so far lasted me 14 months, and it's gripier than the Talon Grips. After 13 years, my original OEM stock steel SIGLite tritium night sights started to fade, so I've replaced them with steel Trijicon HD tritium night sights. These Trijicon sights have a somewhat taller profile, a wider rear U-shaped notch with serations, and a large bright luminous yellow front sight dot. My 61-year-old eyes find these new sights to be a lot quicker and easier to acquire than the original SIGLite sights.
This pistol is a pleasure to shoot. It's a decades long proven military combat and law enforcement duty pistol. It is without a doubt the best built, highest quality, smoothest operating, softest shooting, most accurate 9mm Luger pistol with which I've ever had the pleasure of shooting. It is on a whole other level above / superior to all of my polymer-framed striker-fired 9mm Luger pistols: Gen3 Glock 17, 19, 34, Gen4 26; SA XDm 9 4.5"; and S&W M&P 9 M2.0 3.6" Subcompact, 4" OR Compact, 5" ProSeries CORE FullSize.
I'm certainly no "Hickok45" but with my P226 MK25, using only the iron sights, I can easily ring 10" AR500 steel plates at 40 yards when off-hand free-shooting standing up, whether two-handed, strong-hand-only, or weak-hand-only.
This is my all-time favorite pistol. It will stay with me until I leave this Earth, at which time it will go to my son.
Good things! 👍

Dream come true
Looked in all my local shops, contacted sig and no one had the mk 25 . Then I saw it on a Brownells website. From ordering to delivery to coordination with my ffl everything was seamless. Super happy with my purchase.
Damaged and dirty
I bought this gun sight unseen. When picking it up from the FFL I saw it had a small gouge in the barrel hood and a slight. Field stripped it and saw that the feed ramp and barrel were dirty as well, as though it had been used. The FFL does not have a range and thus no rentals they could have swapped the barrel with. The rest of the gun looks fine. Needless to say I am not happy with the purchase.
