What Reviewers Are Saying
Product Fit

Several reviews mention the necessary modifications to install the trigger guard, particularly for synthetic stocks. This complexity can deter potential buyers who prefer hassle-free installations, highlighting a need for clearer compatibility guidance.
Installation Issues
40%
A few reviewers encountered installation problems related to the alignment and proper spacing of the trigger guard. Some found that additional components, like washers, were needed to achieve the correct fit, indicating a potential area for improvement.
Paint Quality
20%

Great Trigger Guard
I put a Boyds Prairie Hunter Nutmeg Laminate stock on my Savage 111 and didn't want to put the plastic trigger guard on the wood stock. This trigger guard is a perfect fit and looks great compared to the plastic one. The only complaint I have is the trigger guard could have been painted a little better.

Stevens 200 Perfect fit for Boyds stock
I ordered a Boyd's stock for my Stevens 200 .223. After some dremel work the plastic stock trigger guard just wasn't cooperating. After trying to modify the stock trigger guard I got fed up and started searching for a replacement. This trigger guard fit the Boyd's stock perfectly no modifications necessary it litereally lined up and bolted in perfectly. I highly recommend this guard.

Better than OEM
I did need a washer to space this properly, but it is way better than the OEM plastic trigger guard.

fitting required
I had a Savage model 111, 7 magnum in the shop for a missing trigger guard. Synthetic stock, top loading magazine. The factory plastic guard is no longer available, so we ordered the steel version. To make the story short, it required much fitting work, including abit of milling out the rifle stock bedding pillars, taking down the front 'ski ramp' of the guard, milling it flat on the underside of the guard, and in letting the back of the trigger slot, to gain full trigger movement, allowing the rifle to be discharged. When I was finished, I had to blue the guard. Two hours of labor, and blue time. Not something most are going to be interested in doing. Apparently, this trigger guard is for wood stocked rifles, not synthetic. But, it is the only option available now for the older savage rifles according to Brownells. I gave 3 stars for the product, as it will still be a durable part, even after modification.
