Great to put a flip release!
I actually used mine on a Heckler & Koch G36 receiver to put a very very hard to install magazine flip release on it. I shortened it a little with a vice and a hacksaw and used that altered pin to hold the spring to the flipper and then was able to hold it onto the G36 receiver and then pushed the pin that holds the flipper onto the receiver through the holes and just pushed that out and presto! It worked to install the flip release on the receiver! So even though that is not what the pin was made for it works for that!
