The best part about this is the self locking castle nut. No need to stake it, you can just twist until tight. Much easier, cleaner and easier to remove.

Ratcheting plate works perfectly! Buffer tube is light weight but very strong. Easy to put on and holds buffer tube very securely. Simple to remove. I have these on all of my AR builds.

I, absolutely love this product and have installed them on many of my rifles.

Decided to go this route for a 6.8 SPC build. As I will be stalk hunting with it, Im trying to make it as light as I can. So the 1 oz. reduction was helpful, the tube is very well constructed, and looks great. While staking a standard castle nut/end plate isnt too difficult, this is a little less of a headache to install with the ratcheting castle nut. In my opinion, this thing doesnt need to be torqued to 40 ft-lbs and was skeptical about going any further past where it stopped ratcheting. I went with 15 ft-lbs and Im not getting any movement out of the tube whatsoever. I recommend using a fixture to keep the buffer tube secure when you torque. If the v shape cut out in the tube rotates and contacts the buffer retainer it will stick and not allow for buffer removal/installation. Even with the light torque.
