What is the CMMG - AR-15 A1 Stock Assembly?
Simple and dependable, the A1 stock is one of the most iconic AR accessories ever made. This CMMG® A1 stock features a rear storage compartment and sling mount and is built using modern high strength polymers that eliminates the need for a foam filled core. Makes a great addition to AR-15, AR-10, and LR-308s that have rifle length buffer tubes.

Works good
Gave my retro rifle the look i was looking for. Didn't care for the polymer butt plate, but it will work. I noticed in the question and answer section that some said it required a shorter screw which you must order separately. My stock came with the cmmg short screw, it was in the stock storage door.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend
2
flimsy buttpad
The heads of the screws for the buttpad are too small and are allen heads, and no drain hole. The buttpad is very flimsy and will not fit flush as I tried it on multiple AR's. So I dremeled the inner part of the buttpad until it fit flush with the stock and will order larger flat head screws.
2
Terrible low quality
I would have given it 3 stars if it wasn't so expensive. These things cost more than UTG's A2 stock and are absolute junk compared to UTG. This thing is airsoft quality. The fit and finish is terrible. The trap door is cheap plastic, its days are numbered if you actually use it. Will it work? Yes it will work, but it is garbage. It is double the price it should be.

Not Correct
I purchased several of these for younger students in my safety classes. While they are the correct length for the A1, that's where the good stuff ends. They lack the foam inside so anything you place inside won't be coming back out without extreme luck & effort. There is a huge slot for the rear sling swivel. While this doesn't effect performance, it looks terrible. Next is the soft plastic door. The originals were aluminum and they don't interchange. Last is the two screws. The originals were slotted for a flat screwdriver and the top screw had a drain hole. These are common Allen head screws. This is the first Cmmg product I've seen that wasn't worth buying. I'm really disappointed.
