Great......but
Id give this a 4.5 actually. The tube and folding mechanism are VERY robust, its a bit weighty but honestly not enough to really notice or care, just feels solid. Braces and stocks do seem to "rattle" with the lack of a full tube setup, but trade off for the skeletonized look. Keep it pressed up against you and its fine. Currently on a BRN 180 gen3 300blk

good, but not great
Magpul CTR stock rattles significantly like an old CAR stock even with the lock engaged. Looks cool, but probably needs the rest of the tube to prevent stock rattle.
Almost great, but not quite
I do not usually write a negative review, but I think this requires it, so that other people are aware of the downside of getting this folding beam.
The built quality is great, but you will need herculean strength to make it fold. It has no problem unfolding and locked into place, but good luck trying to fold it. Maybe once it wears out after 1000 folding action it will loosen up, Otherwise, you might as well buy the fixed version.
Could be better.
I wanted to love this stock adaptor, I really did. The finish, feeling, and just overall look of it is fantastic. Unfortunately, the AR stocks I tried on it have an unacceptable amount of play. Even with the Magpul CTR with the friction lock had almost an 1/4 in of play at the butt in the extended position. And its not the "normal" rotational play that AR stocks have, the butt rocks up and down. There is just not enough support on rounded portion and/or the tolerances are too loose between the top and the bottom. Really sucks.... I am in the process of sending it back to Brownells and replacing it with the older style tube mount that better mimics real buffer tubes. Hopefully the fit will better.
