AA123 Archangel OPFOR® AK-series 4-position adjustable butt-stock fits most stamped-receiver AK’s. The butt-stock includes a seven-position adjustable cheek-riser allowing an optimum sight picture with both iron and glass sights. The AA123 Archangel OPFOR® AK-series 4-position adjustable butt-stock fits most stamped-receiver AK’s. The butt-stock includes a seven-position adjustable cheek-riser allowing an optimum sight picture with both iron and glass sights. The receiver-extension, and the adjustable butt-stock, feature molded-in QD sling swivel inserts at four points, giving an operator multiple ambidextrous sling options. Molded from a proprietary carbon-fiber filled polymer, this butt-stock offers high strength plus a lifetime of excellent service. A slip-on recoil pad is included.

great buttstock
I bought one for my Hungarian AK because the original stock which was beautiful wood was too short for me ,I have long arms. This stock took a little bit of fitting but looks great, fits great and is very sturdy. I just ordered another for my CV39v2. Great product especially for the price.

Cheekrest Is Weak
I received the stock with the cheekrest jammed. I called Archangel four days ago and they said they would send me a return label. Four days later and no label, so I returned it to Brownells. This stock has a lot going for it. It is solid, no wiggle and strong. It is the same weight as the stock I took off. A small amount of fitting is required to get it to mate up with the receiver, but that is the way it is designed. A little file work and you get a beautiful fit. As you can tell, I would like to see this stock work for me, but there are three problems: The cheekrest is flimsy and easy to jam. The length of pull adjustment is small. Factory response to my problem is not good. This is a good design except for the cheekrest and the length of pull adjustment.

Only useful as a paperweight
I like the general concept, but the execution is terrible. The fit between parts is poor which makes the whole thing rattle. And it weights a ton, the weight of this stock is so great that it significantly increases the weight of the gun in a notable way. I would estimate that it weights about as much as 3 or 4 standard plastic AK buttstocks, and this one does not even have a compartment for the cleaning kit. And the travel of the length adjustment is so small that it fails to fill its porpoise.
