What is the STRIKE INDUSTRIES - ADVANCED RECEIVER EXTENSION BUFFER TUBE?

The Strike Industries Advanced Receiver extension brings an updated aesthetic and increased functionality to an often neglected, yet highly important component of the AR15/AR10 weapon system. The scalloped surfaces decrease friction with tight fitting stocks, and shaves weight while retaining mass in critical stressed areas. Further enhancements include a supported buffer retaining tab that also serves to more easily index your receiver extension. The SI Advanced receiver extension is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum for much greater strength than your standard 6061 tubes. Nice quality buffer tube
Very nice quality buffer tube. As another reviewer stated, this is definitely not a match for Magpul FDE. In fact, it is very close to "Burnt Bronze" Cerakote. A note on the finish. It's definitely not as durable as hard coat anodizing. I installed using a Geissele reaction block, which did leave some minor scratches, but they will be covered by the stock. I only mention it because I would imagine cosmetics would be a factor in choosing this particular tube, and if you're someone who expands and collapses your stock a lot, or you're not careful when assembling, it can scratch easily.

SI buffer tube
Strike Industries makes great stuff. This tube no exception. Just be aware it is NOT Magpul FDE. I used SI's FDE trigger guard to compliment this tube. Looks nice on a all FDE AR. If you use SI's parts in color get all of the parts from them. They are not the same as others.

As good as the best, if not _the_ best.
Put this on an AR-10. Fit and finish were perfect. There's not much else you can say about a buffer tube, but it's more than worth the few extra bucks from a run-of-the-mill standard tube, IMO

Very good product
Nice color and high quality mil spec tube. Offers perfect alignment with buffer retaining pin and ideal fit for mil spec stocks
