WILLIAMS GUN SIGHT - Ruger~ 10/22~ Fiber Optic Ace in the Hole Sight Set Rod

At 62 years old, I just has caterac surgery which restored my eye sight to perfect for long range. I converted a few of my rifles back to open sight for my shooting enjoyment. The William's Ace In The Hole Sight gives you the option to attach an LPVO or red dot sight to the rail. Zero was quick, and simple. The red fiber optic front sight was a simple replacement for the factory front sight and works well. Personally, I don't like glowing fiber optic front sight, so I blacken them with a Sharpie marker. The factory sight is too low to work with the aperture rear sight. Must use provided front sight or order an equal height front sight elsewhere

I wrote below that this is not a true Picatinny rail, but was wrong. I had another brand of rail in mind when I wrote that. Still a solid 5 stars. I'm happy with it. I asked to have the review below deleted, but apparently it hasn't gone through yet.

I installed this sight set on my Ruger 10/22 TD. Fit was good, installation relatively easy, and sighting in was quick. I did have to do some light filing on the front sight dovetail to get it to fit, but that was minor and expected. It makes a nice back-up sight system when used with an optic with a quick detach mount. The only issue I had was that the rail is a Weaver, and not a true Picatinny, so I had to open up a couple slots to fit my mount, but a safe sided file and a little permanent marker and I was good to go. Not really a fault of the mount.

I bought this to gain flexibility and to have a built-in backup on my walking-around 10-22 ground squirrel rifle. It is absolutely perfect for this role! The pic rail let's me use a red dot or a scope (in quick release mounts). If one of these fails, the peep sight is always ready to go. Also, my duty weapon uses a rear peep. This little gem turned my squirrel gun into the perfect 22rf practice tool. Note: use locktite on the peep screw to keep it from loosening.
