What is the J P ENTERPRISES - AR-15/M16/308 AR TUNED BUFFER SPRING?

Precision centerless ground and polished operating springs offer a smoother and quieter operation in AR buffer tubes. Improved impulse feel results in faster sight recovery and improved reliability. Outer-diameter is ground and polished for smooth, quiet movement in the buffer tube. Rifle fits fixed stock rifles with A1/A2 buffer tube. Carbine fits collapsible M4-type carbine-length buffer tube. 308 Rifle – Fits AR10 and 308 AR fixed stock rifles with an A1/A2 buffer tube. 308 Carbine – fits AR10 and 308 AR carbine buffer tubes.

JP Enterprises recommends the use of JP Tuned and Polished 308 Buffer Springs when using the JP 308 Low Mass Bolt Carrier Group

Smooth Operator...
I called to cancel the JP spring after discovering the gravel sound was coming from an expensive 7075 buffer tube and not the spring. I Replaced the tube with a temporary from the junk box and things smoothed out and quieted up. I was too late calling to cancel the order and the JP Spring arrived today. Well I am glad the order did not cancel because charging is more smooth operating and more quiet. It's definitely a keeper.

No more springy twang!
This spring eliminates the springy twang noise I used to hear when shooting my carbine with the stock mil-spec spring. It also tamed the excessive cycling rate experienced when running the gun suppressed. Highly recommend for every AR.

Better than milspec!
Its not the silent captured spring JP makes, but it is still one heck of an improvement over any milspec buffer spring. It is quieter and smoother than the standard springs and well worth the money. I still prefer the silent captured spring system if running a suppressor but for a tenth of the price this one works very well!
