I have used both the 9" .300 Blackout and the 13.7" 5.56 (to pin and weld) East India starters and have had great experiences with both. I will always recommend SOLGW products for their bomb-proof toughness and the company's mission to unapologetically defend the Second Amendment. I love the East India starter sets because they are intended for you to build around them with your favorite components. The gas block and barrel do NOT come pre-drilled for pinning, but the barrel is dimpled with set screw in place. My process is that once I pull together the East India upper, the rail system/handguard and muzzle device, I usually just send those all to SOLGW directly by making an online gunsmithing appointment on their site. I ask that they drill/pin the gas block, install the rail/handguard, check headspace, and either pin and weld (if doing a 13.7" or 14.5" build) or just properly time the muzzle device and check alignment for suppressor use. They always do a perfect job and turnaround is speedy. Great way to go!

Bought for mid range 2/3 gun comps. Seems to shoot fine but just getting load worked up and groups hovering around 1/1.5 MOA
