Failed and cost me a lower
This roll pin came in just a touch too open to fit in my BRN-180 stripped lower. I used some pliers to squeeze/taper one side so it would fit. Using a quality and appropriately sized roll pin punch I drove it in to the hole, but with about 1/3 of the pin remaining, it broke at twisted outward. I didn't catch it until a few hammer strikes later and discovered I was just driving a broken pin into the receiver side and dinged the side of the reveiver. I ended up having to grind off the bit of roll pin still sticking out (taking more finish off the reveiver in the process) which I'll now need to refinish or leave looking like garbage. I have put together many lowers before using the same technique and tools, this is the first time I've encountered this issue. I don't believe the materials on this are quality and this is far more expensive than the other offerings on the site.
