5.56 or .308(blackout) used both, love both. Keeps the noise going forward, no side blast, your friends or team will thank you. Does provide some recoil control, but balls of fire at dusk can be expected. Will not mess with accuracy like some brakes and comps can do. Gets a chuckle every time someone sees the "front toward enemy" on it. The aggressive front end firmly plants muzzle where it is put. But given enough time the spikes will either ruin a low ceiling or your walls or paint. After 4 yearsof use, I love this brake, best way to direct noise and protect the muzzle crown.

this break is on (2) 300 blkout builds used for hunting. It keeps the noise pointed down range away from the hunters ears better than other comps. reasonably priced and looks aggressive on barrel.

Installed on DPMS AP308, major improvement in moving sound forward and away from shooter-not into the guy next to you. Reduction in recoil a added benefit. Works great!

An excellent muzzle brake for an Armalite AR-10 7.62 Carbine. In fact, this brake combined with a Mako (made in Israel) adjustable, recoil reducing stock makes felt recoil more like a 5.56! Blast and noise is directed forward, not to the sides, like many other brakes. Excellent for quick follow-up shots with the power and punch of the REAL 7.62!

Put this on a Bushmaster AR10 308/7.62 with 16" Barrel. Wanted to reduce recoil, muzzle flip and noise. Tried other brands to reduce recoil but very loud and unfriendly to other shooters. This one did the trick. Directs noise away from shooter, not quiet, but others rang my ears even with good 30DB head set, not the Claymore. Recoil and muzzle flip are reduced but the blast/noise reduction is the best I have seen so far.
