What is the BATTLE ARMS DEVELOPMENT INC. - AR-15/M16 Enhanced Magazine Release Button?

The concave V-Groove button face offers excellent ergonomic feel and self-centers the index finger as pressure is applied. The horizontal, parallel serrations helps slippage in the vertical orientation while minimizing drag in the horizontal direction for finger retraction. The BAD-EMR also features a lightweight skeletonize back to offset the weight gained from the fully solid button face and slightly increased height to equal the weight of the standard mil-spec magazine release (approxmiately 0.002 lbs). BAD-EMR is compatible with all lower receivers that accepts mil-spec magazine release buttons.

SPECS: Precision CNC Machined for billet 7075-T6 Aluminum.

needed for many LR-308s
i tried a standard mag release that came with a DPMS 308 LPK and the button wasnt long enough to work with my DPMS-style 308 lower receiver. THIS extended mag button made my weapon functional and is most likely required for the proper mag release function of a multitude various manufactured 308 lowers. the same button used on a little AR15 wont have the same geometry when it comes to a 308 lower being much wider & more massive, overall. if you havent figured that out by now, then nothing else needs to be said. ive never seen a 308AR until i cut and finished a 80% 308 and had it all figured out fast as i could spot the deficiencies. anyways, this part was needed to complete my 308 lower receiver as the standard mag release button included with most part kits wasnt long enough to initiate proper function and it didnt take NASA research to figure out the repair & replacement.

The best upgrade you dont need!
Yes, I consider this an upgrade. Let me explain why you will too. The button sits a millimeter or two higher than standard mil-spec part. Although I did find this awkward at first, I have grown accustomed to this and now prefer it. It raises the buttons surface, providing more leverage and spring tension. I have faster reloads because of this. Transitioning back to mil-spec button feels squashy, and the lower engagement require just a little more effort to use, and usually has me depressing the button much more than required. I am now ordering one for all of my weapons. Ascetically, this is beautiful. It will make any AR look and feel more premium. The smooth surface works well with gloves and doesn't pull on glove finger tips, my pet peeve. The finish has remained entirely intact with no chips after several months of adverse conditions and multiple painting/stripping processes. You can scrape together 5 bucks from the change in your couch! this is a no brainer!

Great for LR-308
This button is a little taller than the one that came with the dpms LPK. Works perfectly with gen1 DPMS lowers also put one on a CMMG lower. Exactly what was needed.

High quality, different, and subtle.
It looks much nicer than stock, feels better, yet looks like it could be factory standard. I like the super high quality. It's a very nice and affordable custom upgrade that doesn't look gawdy or screaming for attention.
