SONS OF LIBERTY GUN WORKS - Round Handguard Cap for AR-15 Black

I built a M4 with a 14.5 barrel, sent the barrel to a gunsmith to pin and weld the muzzle device so it wasn't an SBR. When I got the barrel back I finished the build and the standard AR hand guards don't fit in this. The diameter is too small, the tabs of the hard guards do not fit inside of this. I cannot believe this! Now that I see the picture of this garbage product again, this isn't even what was sent to me, the one I received has cut outs at the bottom. All I can do to fix this send the barrel back to a gun smith, have my pin and welded muzzle device removed and the FSB and start again with another product. This POS will cost me a few hundred dollars to fix. Never again will I order anything by Sons of Liberty!

A cap is a cap is a cap. Not necessarily. Some handguard caps hold nice and tight while others allow the guard to rotate or flop side to side. In this case I ordered two Son's of Liberty round caps and was sent two DIFFERENT round caps in the same packaging with the same SKUs. One in the standard .750" full round model that fits easily and snug which I ordered. The other is the M4 model with the cut outs which I did not order and is not even listed on the site. It is so tight it has to be forced on with considerable difficulty and forced off. I've been a very satisfied customer of Brownells for very many years. This is a small thing and yet it is not. A customer should always be completely satisfied even in the smallest of things.
