What is the KINETIC DEVELOPMENT GROUP LLC - AR-15 PICATINNY M-LOK RAIL ALUMINUM?

The Kinect™ by KDG for MLOK™ is a revolutionary QD mounting system that will change the way we attach accessories to our modular weapons platforms. Much like the Sidelok™ for Picatinny attachment, Kinect™ insures proper and easy installation, eliminating common variables that would cause issues.(ie: over tightening) Although revolutionary, Kinect™ is quite simple in its operation. There are two spring-loaded wedges in the base of the Kinect™ mounting point. When you press the accessory or rail section down in the MLOK™ slot, two tiny deployment triggers get pressed against the rail firing the wedges into place. There is nothing more frustrating that fiddling with an allen wrench (if you can find it) to get your accessories on an off your weapon with traditional modular rail sections. This changes the whole dynamic of the MLOK™ system and really makes every accessory truly removable with the ability to mount it in a second when needed.

American ingenuity at its best

Very clever design. Mounts solidly. Removes in a second. Durability is a question mark as I've had this for less than a week but it is relatively simple, although it does have some moving parts.

The keymod killer!!!

This is by far and above the best and most convenient way to attach anything to your rifle. No more Allen wrenches and more importantly, no more searching for those wrenches when you want to reconfigure your rifle. If you're like me, I share accessories between my many rifles and the ability to pull attachments off and simply stick them on another rail in less that 30 seconds with no tools is just the best. Because of kinetic development group's Kinect system, all of my rifles are mlok.

Its a love and hate relationship.

I love it! Its just awesome but I dont recommend it for foregrips or forward grips. For me it kept popping off when I was shooting. I did shoot a lot so after lots of use and the way I hold it I put stress on it which made it too easy to pop off. I think its great and anyone who has a mlok system should definitely try it out just dont use for foregrips or you will run into my the issue I had.

Great concept

Quick detach concept is awesome. That being said I would not run this on a serious use rifle. Too much pressure and it pops right off. Bipod- not even. Weaponlight- only if you have it tied to the gun otherwise it might not be there when you need it. Range toy- no issues at all
