AR-style rifles chambered in .308 Win. can easily be heavy, hard-to-carry rifles if builders or buyers aren't careful in selecting their components. ODIN Works is combating the issue of heavy AR 308s with a number of products, including the company's 308 O2 Lite Forend, which is machined from 6005-T651 aluminum and weighs 20 percent less than previous designs. Each ODIN Works O2 Lite Forend is built for use on DPMS-pattern upper receivers and can be installed on both high-and low-profile upper receivers. The forend is free-floated to ensure accuracy and features a hard-anodized finish for durability. The forend is all-black, measures 17.5 inches long and features M-LOK attachment slots for accessories.
