GREAT CARRIER
These are easy to clean, are a snug fit in upper, and are boringly reliable, as are JP bolts, easily otclasding other carriers in these important aspects. These however cannot use a forward assist, so are optiimum with an upper without such provision, which I don't mind, but the design didn't need to be so designed. Also, these come with a rough conventional carrier-key/manifold, which I replaced with a Patriot Ordnance Factory Roller Cam kit that was sold by Brownells until very recently (a big loss they don't now!) and it runs even smoother. These usually need an adjustable gas block to optimize them, but reduction of recoil is somewhat disappointingly nearly unnoticeable. I think the weight savings for carry is the main benefit.
