WILSON COMBAT - AR-9 Bulletproof Firing Pin 9mm

I like most of W.C. products and this is no exception. I used it to replace a firing pin in a Brownells 9mm bolt/carrier unit. Their pin was way long and punched primers. I shortened it a long time ago and went too far to get a good hit on all primers so I thinned the spring/ pin stop shelf down to bring it back up to .035 protrusion. And it's never failed with all the use. But knew that someday I would go new and this was the pic. It was also too long, .045 protrusion so I shortened and polished the pin end to a .035 protrusion. This being the 4 stars. Only because I'm not for sure how long the tip will last after doing this do to hardness. Time will tell.

This firing pin appears to be well machined and well finished. It works, until it breaks. I used one of these tool steel firing pins to replace the firing pin in my RRA 9mm carbine after the original pin broke in two after many, many rounds. This bulletproof pin lasted almost as long as the original. Dont bother with this pin if you are able to get the same part for less money from another manufacturer. If you do buy this pin, order from Brownells so you get covered by their awesome for life guarantee. Dont make the mistake I made by ordering direct from Wilson Combat.
