What is the FAXON FIREARMS - Match 6.5 Creedmoor 18" 1-8 Twist Big Gunner Contour BBL Blk?
Faxon continues our fantastic barrel-making with a bit more punch. We've updated our previous Medium-Taper profile taking into account customer feedback, optimizing the barrel to meet the Gunner brand's high standards.


The 6.5 Big Gunner profile barrels are the big-brother to our famous 5.56 Gunner barrels. The Big Gunners feature a medium-taper behind the gas block. The gas block journal is set to .750" for compatibility with most common gas blocks and 1.9" in length for long blocks or aftermarket piston kits. From the gas block journal forward we use a thinner taper, designed to reduce weight yet maintain rigidity for high rates of fire and as a suppressor host.

Light weight high velocity
had to polish camber a lot scuffs on spent case. My loads I use LC brass turned necks able to gain more velocity less damage than hornady brass 147 eld 2650 & 140 eld 2750fps RL16. Accuracy still breaking in get a lot 1-1.5 groups. Turn velocity down accuracy would be tighter. Excellent hunting barrel high velocity light weight only 20". I have older ar10 stainless barrels 6 groove but the performance of 3r 5r and melonite is worth it.
