What is the PRO MAG - Saiga 12 Gauge 10-Round Magazine?
Lightweight, molded polymer magazine has reinforced steel feed lips to ensure reliable delivery of all 10 rounds to the chamber of your 12 gauge Saiga shotgun. Ideal for the three-gun competition shooter, with deep, “waffle” texturing on the outside for a secure grasp during high-speed mag changes. Extra length ensures that even when fully loaded there’s extra compressibility to the round stack so the magazine can be inserted with the bolt closed.

SPECS: Reinforced injection-molded polymer, black. 10-round capacity. Fits Saiga 12 gauge shotguns only.

saiga 12 promag magazine
Almost all magazines require fitting up to your saiga 12. This is done on purpose, because the mfg. of your gun follows a very sloppy tolerance when it comes to dimensions during manufacturing. So to "custom fit " the magazine for every saiga 12 shotgun out there would be impossible for any manufacture of an aftermarket magazine to do for this gun. It feeds with no problems. My exprience so far with any feeding issues has been with the gun and ammo/ gas pressure and gas block settings. Look at these things also before concluding that it is a magazine problem.
4
Good tight fit
Since I haven't had trigger time yet, and my Saiga is cleaned and ready to go, I figured an extra mag would be in order. So far though, it fits well, cycles great, and was quite easy to change in and out with my other mag. No problems so far. I will be getting some trigger time this week to put it under load.
3
Be prepared to hand fit these
I bought two of these and had to hand fit both. the plastic that engages the magazine fixed notch (not the release lever) is too long and won't allow the release lever to "click" into battery. Takes about 15 minutes of filing (didn't want to take off too much material). Once fitted they function fine. Tighter fit than SureFire but not as "snick-snick" to insert and release.
2
Spring failure
I bought two of these as other magazines weren't available. The magazines had to be modified to fit the receiver (small common issue), but worked fine with numerous shells up to 3". This lasted for several range trips, until the follower failed to do it's job. After taking apart the mags, the internal spring had fallen apart in several pieces. I would suggest a better quality magazine than these.
2
Needs improvement
I bought two of these and fitting them was not a prob but after about 100 rounds shot the spring in one just snapped in two places. I put it back together with ducktape and it works but not reliable anymore. other mag has done great though
