PRO MAG - SKS Magazine Polymer 7.62x39 5 Rds

Any mags for milsurps may need fitting, but I got lucky. The Promag 5 shot polymer mag snapped right into place in my Chinese type 56 with factory stock with no fitting or modification. The function is fine, the mag removes easily, and stripper clip loading is still possible. This magazine still engages the bolt hold open when empty. The 5 shot mag will help me setup my carbine for legal use for big game hunting in my state.

Ordered this magazine to use on my Norinco SKS with ATI system. Initially the magazine didn't fit, and I had to file the front lower magazine lip my a full millimetre (I was already aware that a little filing was needed before I purchased this magazine model). After the filing, the magazine fits snugly and there's no movement at all. Five rounds fit perfectly and securely in the magazine. Robust construction too. Worth every penny.

I had a friend buy me a thumb hole stock for my SKS. I wanted to try it out hunting whitetail this season. Due to hunting laws I needed a 5 round magazine. I found the Pro Mag one and ordered it. Unfortunately the first time I tried to fit it into my SKS the lip broke off at the end of the duckbill. Now it will not lock into my rifle. The lip is thin plastic and didnt hold. Poor quality lifetime warranty or not I am out now. I will reach out to Brownells customer service and hope that they will make good on selling poor quality items like this magazine.
