I made a mistake about these mags
I made a mistake about these mags in a previous review, I only gave them a one star rating because of the constant jamming. It turns out it wasn't the mags fault, it was the Butler Creek mag loader. The mag loader was bending the cartridges causing them to jam. When I load the Butler Creek mags by hand they shoot just fine with no jamming.
5
Excellent Product
I've fired about 20 full magazines and without one single jam. Great product!!
5
Very Satisfied!
Have had ZERO issues with this mag in my 10/22. Looks great; works great!
5
Good design, better than hot lips
I prefer the Steel Lips to the plastic Hot Lips design. Though the Hot Lips are good mags, they have a tendency to jam and cause feeding problems. I find this is far less frequent with the Steel Lips. Lightweight, rigid and can be connected with other mags without tools or extras.

Best seller for decades
Butler Creek made an impact in the 1022 hi-capacity magazine market. These steel lips magazines are well made and was best sellers for decades. They work best with CCI and other high-end brands of ammo but are finicky with most bulk ammunition and hollow points. Would like to see a stronger follower spring to compensate for gradual fatigue and work better with a stronger recoil spring that cycles faster than a standard recoil spring. A great alternative for the Ruger BX25 at a lesser price.
