What is the NUMRICH GUN PARTS CORPORATION - Mauser 98 8mm 3rd Magazine?

Converts top loading Mauser 98 rifles into detachable magazine models without alteration. All that is needed is to remove the military floorplate & spring and replace with this magazine. Magazine is steel, with a blued finish. Fits long action cartridges .25-06, .270, 30-06 and 8mm. If using pointed cartridges, a u-shaped cut-out is required at the front to facilitate the slightly longer cartridge.


SPECS: Fits standard Mauser 98 rifles. 8mm Mauser, 3rd capacity.

Well worth the price
This thing is excellent. I had to remove the floor plate retaining pin, and then it fit perfectly in my pre WWll Gewehr Mauser 98 action. Mine is chambered for 25-06. Three rounds fit in the magazine and they chamber from it well.

Works flawlessly. Glad they (Numrich) brought this product back, as you couldn't get them a few years ago. I used this for a 98 mauser that I rebarrelled to 6.5x55 swede.
