Reviews Summary
The ProMag .22LR magazines for Glock 44 receive mixed reviews; while some users find them functional after a break-in period, many report jamming issues, especially when loaded with the full 18 rounds. Loading difficulties and inconsistent performance lead some to prefer factory options, although these are seen as price attractive by others seeking high-capacity solutions.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Reliability Issues
70%
Many reviewers express significant concerns about the reliability of the magazines, especially when attempting to load 18 rounds, leading to frequent jams and malfunctions. While some find success at lower round counts, the overall reliability remains a common disappointment.
Loading Difficulty
65%
Numerous users note the difficulty of loading these magazines, particularly due to the heavy spring tension and small thumb tabs. This challenge is often highlighted in conjunction with reliability issues, suggesting that the design may need improvements for easier handling.
Break-in Period
50%
Several reviewers mention a required break-in period for these magazines, suggesting that performance can improve with use. However, this requirement raises concerns about the initial usability and expectations of a functional product right out of the box.
Value for Money
40%
While some customers appreciate the cost-effectiveness of these higher-capacity magazines compared to factory options, the inconsistent performance leads to mixed feelings about their overall value versus reliability and ease of use.
Design Flaws
35%
Critiques of the magazine design include the round return springs and small load assist tabs, which many feel hinder functionality. A few reviewers suggest that a single-stack design might better suit the magazine's purpose by preventing binding issues.

They work
I needed something that held more than 10 rounds for competition (I compete but not a grand master or anything). So far, they have worked. Sometimes, the rounds will jam going in if you try to load to fast but going slow works. With OEM, I need to make sure the bullets’s nose points up each time to get good feeding but I haven’t needed to with these.

Just break it in.
Yes brand new out of the bag you should only load about 15 like the one reviewer stated, after really a few hundred rounds or less it'll break in and then start loading it with 18, I have about 5 of these promags 18 rounders and its flawless and will cycle any kind of bullet, I'm am by no means a Glock fan boy, I actually prefer Rugers, but this block 44 has become my favorite gun with the promags, and I would carry this combo for personal protection if needed to. I wish glocks came with a manual safety, I just love that added safety protection, that's just me. If you're an older person who wants less recoil or just love the 22lr like I do you will love this combo.

I love these mags!
I hear a lot of complaints of not being reliable with 18 rounds, but I load mine to 15 like the same capacity as a G19. At 15 rounds I rarely have issues and I am quite happy with these mags. Not sure why Glock only did 10 rounds with these mags, but these are a great option to use your G-44 to simulate a G-19. Give at least one a try!

Pro Mag Glock 44
I was looking around YouTube about various Glock related items and there was a gentleman that had listed a video about the reliability of the pro mag magazine for the Glock 44. One of the things that he did was shorten the coil spring about three or four links and re-inserted it into the magazine which made it have a less compression and also to be able to load the 18 rounds of 22 Long rifle that it advertises. I did this and I think it improved the feed it also got the spring to compress without getting all twisted up within the magazine.. I know you shouldnt have to buy a product and then immediately turn around and modify it to be functional but thats just the reality of this magazine and I agree that they should not have a wound or coil spring it should be a rectangle spring like the Glock uses.

Pretty Good
I have 4 and they all take some time to break in and get used to but after they have been used a few times they are good to go.
