Although swapping out these springs will not shorten the length of the trigger pull, it lightened it enough to increase accuracy because less muscle is needed to make it go bang. A very nice improvement.

The Apex spring kit for the SD9 series is almost a mandatory add on. In fact I wonder why S&W doesn't install this kit at the factory or just include it in the box. Spend a few minutes and $20 and your trigger goes from 8.5# with a stiff break to 6.25# or so with a much cleaner break. About the same weight as factory Glock trigger. Apex provides an instant trigger job with no reduction in reliability or liability. I have now installed 3 of these kits and have yet to be disappointed in any way. Can't say that about the Galloway kit. Plus if you want to improve the pull even more, add on the trigger upgrade as well. Since I don't mind the pivoting trigger I just use the springs.

Dropped trigger pull down to useful now. dropped from 9 lbs. to 4 1/5 lbs. good for this brand of pistol.

SPRINGS INSTALLED WITHOUT ANY NEED TO FIT OR MODIFY THEM OR PISTOL. ORIGINAL TRIGGER PULL WAS 8 1/4 LBS AND WITH APEX SPRING KIT IT NOW BREAKS AT 6 LBS. ROLL PIN HOLDING SEAR BLOCK IS VERY TIGHT SO MAKE SURE YOU USE CORRECT SIZE PUNCH AND GOOD SUPPORT.
