BROWNELLS - RSA-100 17lb Pro-Spring Kit New Model Ruger Single Action

Ordered this Brownell's 17lb Pro spring kit by Wolfe a couple weeks ago for my 2nd Ruger Super Blackhawk 44Mag. (1st Super Blackhawk also has this kit). Installed it this evening. If you follow directions or find a video, you'll be fine installing yourself. I've done enough kits that I can do the swap in just a few minutes. Original trigger pull was a touch over 4 pounds (4lb 2.5oz). Not bad for factory. After install, trigger pull is well under 2 pounds (average for 5 pulls with Lyman electronic gauge -- 1lb 8oz, & none came close to 2lb). The Brownell's kit includes a hammer spring, trigger spring & an upgraded base pin latch spring. Highly recommend these Pro kits from Brownell's.

Installed in a new Ruger Wrangler with a factory trigger pull of 4 1/2 lbs. After install the trigger pull is 1 1/2 lbs. Thats very light as you know perhaps too light but accuracy shooting off hand is much better so Ill try it for a while. I would have been happy with 2 1/2 lb trigger pull so may try the 19 lb spring kit.

Mainspring will not work with newer models that have the lock mechanism under the grip panels. Too long by about eight coils. Tried shortening spring, but apparently, the coils are also smaller in diameter and will jam into the frame. The trigger spring does lighten the pull enough to notice without measuring.
