Wilson 1911 sear
This seems to be a well made sear for 1911. The breakaway and engagement angles are already present. All it really needed was to remove the coating on the engagement and breakaway surfaces and polish with the felt wheel/compound and it was ready to go. You may want to increase the breakaway area but I left it as is, which seemed to be a little less than the engagement surface. I don't think the breakaway surface width should more than the engagement surface width for a safe 1911 trigger. For some users, this could be a drop in part, but I like to remove any blueing or coating and polish the engagement area to a mirror like finish for a smooth, crisp trigger. Polish the back of the trigger bow so the disconnector slides freely, the trigger bow edges, the disconnector where runs in the frame channel and trigger bow, the hammer hooks, and the trigger will feel like a million bucks.
